Eloi: No, what's that all about?
Marc: Oh, it's really exciting competition about football.
Eloi: That sounds fun. And when's it on?
Marc: It's on Tuesday and Wednesday, I think.
Eloi: But, it's about football?
Marc: Yes, is really exciting. Do you fancy going?
Eloi: Yes, OK. Why not?

WRITING AN EMAIL

Hi Padi,
I'm writing this email from Barcelona. The weather is really cold at the moment but I really like it here because the people are fantastic. We're driving around the country and we're stopping in different places.

We've just arrived here in Barcelona. In the last fewdays we've driven beautiful forests and we've seen some fantastic lakes. So far I've really enjoyed the food and we haven't had any bad experiences.

Tonight we're staying in a small campsite. It's fantastic.

SLEEPY HOLLOW

One day in a small village called ( Sleepy Hollow) there was a gentleman without head. The village was frightened. The gentleman appeared under an old and big tree. The gentleman was cutting heads of the people who lived in the village. One man who was living in the United States went to investigate this gentleman. He got up, cut one head and returned to the tree with the head. He had a acollection of heads. But one day the man got his skull and put to the gentleman. The gentleman was personified and he recovered his original body. He took a woman, burned her and then there was peace again in sleepy hollow.

THE NEW FANTASTIC CLUB !!!

Welcome to New fantastic club. Near the sea in Platja d'Aro, you can relax or do exercise here. Our club is the best because the people who work here are friendly and responsible. Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Padilla are often guests here.

At the new fantastic club we have four gyms, so if you're energetic enough you can do some exercice. Or perhaps you can spend some time snorkelling in our private beach.

After one or two days at the club, people feel better and they look twenty years younger! Come and see!

My name is Marc, I'm 13 years old. In 22 of december I'll be 14. My favourite sports are ski, football and windsurfing. My favourite music is pop-rock. I live in Banyoles but I love going to Platja d'Aro and Molló. I've a lot of friends but my favourite is Jimmy.

A SURVIVOR'S STORY

Last year I was skiing with my father and my brother in Vallter 2000. One day it was snowing a lot. There were about two metres snow from the floor. There were a lot of people skiing.

Suddenly, I saw a group of people skiing out of the slopes. They broke the snow and produced an avalanche. The next moment there was panic. People were running and skiing very fast.

Afterwards I was OK, but my father and my brother were cold. It was a terrible experience, and when arrived home we explained it to mum.

Dialogue: Buying by phone

Eloi: Hello, Ticket Connect. How can I help you?
Marc: Oh, hi. I'm phoning about tickets for Marc Matamala.
Eloi: Yes, can you tell me the date and place?
Marc: Yes, are there any tickets for the concert in Banyoles on the 19th of October?
Eloi: Yes, we've got tickets for that.
Marc: Great, how much are they?
Eloi: They're 4 €.
Marc: Ok. Can I have 10 tickets please?
Eloi: Yes, of course. I'll need your name, address and a credit card numer please.
Marc: Oh, right. Just a second... Dad!

Dialogue: Choosing from a menu

Eloi: So what are you going to have, Marc?
Marc: I'm not sure. The Germany looks good.
Eloi: What's that?
Marc: That's a pizza with frankfurt.
Eloi: Mmm. That sounds tasty. Well, I'm going to have the pasta and tuna salad.
Waiter: Hi. Are you ready to order?
Eloi: Erm, yes. Can we have a Germany and a pasta an tuna salad, please?
Waiter: One Germany and one pasta and tuna salad. Thanks very much.

DIALOG: Asking for information.

Marc: Excuse me. Can you help me? I'm looking for the windsurfing centre.
Eloi: Ah, yes, the windsurfing centre is at Platja D'aro beach. Do you know the beach?
Marc: Not really, no.
Eloi: Let me show you on the map. It's here, look.
Marc: Ok. Great. And where's the cinema?
Eloi: Erm, there's a cinema in Girona, next to the Hospital Bufill.
Marc: Ok, great. Thanks very much.

In my picture the colours are red and blue because they're the colours of my favourite team. I think that I'm a “CULÉ”.

There's a photo of me in the centre of the picture. In the photo I'm windsurfing in the sea. I'ts my second favourite activity because it's dificult.

There are other people, places and objects in my picture. You can see that I'm interested in football and I like people who are funny and extroverted.

MY SUMMER 08

By the end of June I travelled to Granada.
At the beginning of July I started my windsurfing lessons and then I practised a lot.
In July I stayed in my grandmothers flat.
In August I went whith Jimmy in his water motorbike.
In September I went to Portaventura. It was fantastic.
Every day in summer I went to the beach and I sunbathed a lot.
But in the middle of September I go to school pfff... holidays are finished.
